Added power for all PTC product development tools through cross-product standardization and interconnection

Powerful CAx tools are a necessity in order to operate a strategic product development environment. But at the same time, it is just as important to make best possible use of these software tools - and for that, an optimized work environment, specialized configurations and field-tested add-on applications are indispensible. And this is why IQ systems offers a central, scaleable solution for the PTC product development tools Creo Parametric, Creo Elements/Direct Modeling, and Creo Elements/Direct Drafting.

IQ Management Tools

Finding a proper working environment is not only motivating for the user, it is also the key to greater productivity. If working environments can also be created in such a simple and elegant way as with IQ systems, administrative work can also be fun. Every environment has the necessary settings for the smooth use of the PTC development tools, as is the case here with Creo Parametric. All settings, options, parameters and mapkeys are stored centrally in a proven, time-tested configuration engine. The inheritance concept helps the administrator in the target-group-oriented creation of environments, so that central changes require only one single adjustment of the contents. Artificial-intelligence-based functionalities support the administrator in research and test tasks that would otherwise be elaborate and time-consuming. Here, for example, the compatibility of an existing environment that is used for Wildfire 4 can be checked proactively against the version Wildfire 5. The administrator can also extend or change the IQ systems Creo Parametric configuration data and artificial intelligence techniques can be used to integrate future IQ systems configuration data.
One key feature of the IQ systems client is its interoperability with various IQ systems servers. The user can find the environments that he or she has access to in the client immediately by simply switching the current IQ systems server and can start tools such as Creo Parametric immediately in the correct configuration.
Additionally, the entire environment content in terms of settings, options, parameters, mapkeys and also the associated start parts, drawing frames and standard parts can be copied to the client so you are still able to work with the familiar product development environment in offline mode.

IQ Engineering Tools

Based on IQ Management Tools, IQ Engineering Tools offer additional high-performance CAD-specific applications. The following applications, among others, can now be used for Creo Parametric:

paramPRO:
High-performance Creo Parametric parameter editor.
Many possible settings can help to fill in parameters correctly: standard values, current day, types, correctness checks and multiple language selection lists. Selection lists can also be adopted centrally by a variety of legacy systems such as ERP and updated cyclically. This means that the user always has the correct selection values available, also when working offline. Furthermore, paramPRO also enables user-friendly editing of component parameters. In connection with tested additional functions, paramPRO is a highly efficient parts list editor, known previously as bomPRO, now an integral feature of IQ Engineering Tools.

normPRO:
Extensive Creo Parametric standard parts catalogue.
The standard parts library available in normPRO offers access to over 140 standards with over 16,000 parts. These include: srews, nuts, washers, springwashers, plain bearings, roller bearings, pins, grub screws, bolts, feather keys, collets, safety rings, profiles, steel profiles, end plates, steel angles.

Besides the DIN catalogue, it now also includes the ANSI (American National Standards Institute) and the JIS (Japan Industrial Standard) standards.
